Sunset on The Golden Gate (view from Indian Rock))
The special moment (5:21:33 PM). Why so...special? Well, I think the interplay of the sun-and-bridge seems most interesting when the sun's disc appears to "rest" on the center of the bridge span--as though it's supported by the cables.* This day I was unlucky that the very bottom edge of the sun was obscured by clouds. But at least the sun came through...
*The effect can be seen from Indian Rock during just a few sunsets each year in late January. From other East Bay viewing locations, it might be possible from mid-Oct. to late Feb.).
