Yerba Buena Island (and Treasure Island) are in San Francisco Bay; they lie just below the mid-point of the Oakland-SF Bay Bridge. The islands offer spectacular views of the San Francisco skyline.
Several of the shots (with the sun hanging low over the Transamerica Pyramid Building) were planned well in advance using a software tool, "The Photographer's Ephemeris".You can read here about how I planned this shoot using TPE.
