The Ebony Jewelwing is a damselfly that I saw very briefly in my backyard one day in early summer of 2011.
I had never seen one before that, but sadly, I did not have my camera with me!
Yet after many days of looking I have not managed to see her again– let alone to photograph her. Was she just an apparition?
These images were made to pass the time in my backyard while I hunted (unsuccessfully) for that elusive damselfly. I searched on June 19 & 20, 2011.
Also on the 21st, 22nd, 23rd, 24th & 25th!
